It's worth checking the spline on the end of the cam the cas attaches to as well as the cas pin. If you see orange dust of any wear, it could cause these results. A cheap fix to verify = take some rtv sealant ans fill the end of the cas pin with it. Re-insert and set timing (don't worry about the specific cas position.) then drive the car....see of you note a power difference. Sometimes your butt dyno can be as telling. What your doing is prevent the cas from moving during cam rotation (provide you have wear there).
